CLEAR THINKING GROUP PROMOTES THREE CONSULTANTS
HILLSBOROUGH, NJ (2/13/07) — Clear Thinking Group, LLC has promoted Maxine Turner to manager in the firm's Turnaround and Crisis Management Practice Group. The company also announced the promotions of Denise Engelhardt and Joe Marchese to senior consultants in its Creditors Rights Practice Group and Turnaround and Crisis Management Practice Group, respectively.
Turner joined Clear Thinking Group in December 2005 as a consultant. A Certified Public Accountant, she has over 12 years of experience in accounting and finance, including six years in the retail industry. During those years, she worked primarily in the areas of SEC reporting, financial planning and budgeting, business modeling, and financial systems implementation. Prior to coming to Clear Thinking Group, the Simpsonville, S.C. resident spent six years in the finance department of One Price Clothing Stores Inc., rising to the position of director of financial planning and analysis. Earlier in her career, Turner was a partnership accountant at Insignia Financial Group in Greenville, S.C.
Engelhardt joined Clear Thinking Group as a consultant in the Creditors Rights' claims administration unit in April 2005, bringing over 25 years of retail accounting and bankruptcy claims management experience. Before coming to the firm, she was retail controller of Carpetland/Flooring America. When the Kennesaw, Ga.-based chain filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection in June 2000, Engelhardt became its de facto claims agent, handling nearly 6,700 creditor claims. Prior to joining Carpetland/Flooring America in 1987, Engelhardt spent seven years in the accounting department of Stokes Brothers Electronics, Salt Lake City, where she was later named retail controller. Earlier in her career, she was a member of the accounting department at Sears, Roebuck & Co. Engelhardt is a resident of Acworth Ga.
Marchese, who came to Clear Thinking Group as a consultant in October 2005, has over 15 years experience consulting in the accounting and financial services arena, specializing in business planning, cash management and financial reporting for small and mid-sized companies. His consulting projects have included the preparation and analysis of business plans, financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting. A resident of Skillman, N.J., Marchese was an independent consultant for 14 years before joining Clear Thinking Group. Before that, he worked for United Jersey Bank as an assistant vice president/manager in the Bank Control Group.
