INDUSTRY VETERAN TO HEAD CLEAR THINKING GROUP BOARD OF ADVISORS
HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. (1/5/10) – Clear Thinking Group LLC, a national advisory firm, is pleased to announce that industry veteran James G. Welty will be assuming the role as Chair of their Board of Advisors. In his new role, Mr. Welty will be advising the firm in matters related to strategic planning and marketing.
Mr. Welty has vast experience in the consumer product and retail market place, working over 20 years as a consultant to consumer product and retail companies in the areas of Supply Chain, Process Improvement, Retail Store Operations, and Customer Service. Mr. Welty was the President and CEO of The Garr Consulting Group (a division of Deloitte), and National Partner of Consumer Products for KPMG. Mr. Welty was also an original founding member of Clear Thinking Group in 2001, retiring in 2003.
Highlights of Mr. Welty’s distinguished career have been assisting companies such as Macy’s, The Gap, Campbell’s Soup, Lowe’s, J.C. Penny, Dillard’s, Rubbermaid, Limited, Home Depot, Kmart, Family Christian Stores, Lenscrafters, Champs and Dean Foods. At the beginning of his career, he was a Merchandise Manager and Store Manager with L.S. Ayers and Gimbels. He has also served on the Logistics Board of the National Retail Federation (NRF), and the Finance Board of what was then IMRA; now known as the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA).
